They say you only get one chance to make a great first impression. So why are entryways often discarded when it comes to spaces to decorate? The Entry is the first “introduction” to the inside of your home, and the last thing a person sees when they leave… Unless your company is like me and asks to go out the garage door to shorten their walking distance to their car. In any case, it doesn’t make sense to have a wonderfully designed living room and kitchen, and the entry is just, blah. These interiors have completely opened my eyes to how much of a lasting impression a well decorated entryway can make!Look how lovely you can make even the smallest entryways with a modern chair and classic stripes on the wall. This is exactly how I envision the entry to my beach house! Let’s also note how great the lighting fixture (pictured below) compliments the wire chair (pictured above). As you can see, I put a lot of thought into picture layouts 😉 Can we please take a moment of silence to honor how brilliantly accessorized these two foyers are (seen above & below). They even created a faux “fireplace” in the cove of the entry table in the above picture. Absolute accessorizing perfection! So this could possibly be an entry to an art gallery and not a house, but in either case I love the idea of making a statement in your entry with a huge piece of art, or gigantic mirror (as seen below).pics via
I’d love to hear what first impressions a person would get from your entryway? Let’s chat below!
