Inspired Living No.01

My on again off again relationship with this blog has been no secret. We’ve had more break-ups and make-ups than I’d like to admit. As of today, we’re back together. But, unlike previous times when I renewed my vows and pledged to be faithful to this creative matrimony, this time around I will make no such promises. I’ve come to terms that my relationship with this blog is more of a love affair than a holy wedlock. I may never be exclusively committed…but that doesn’t mean I don’t love her.

Metaphors aside, I’ve always wanted this blog to not only be a resource for you guys, but also a place where I could share anything and everything (as frequent or sporadic as that may be) that inspires me to create a home and lifestyle that I love. Hence my tagline, “Inspired Living”. So I’m starting a new series called “Inspired Living” where I can do just that. Here are a few inspiring links from around the web…

Yay! Thanks for sharing your “finds!” I can always do with some inspiration in the kitchen and around the house and daily encouraging inspirational thoughts, too! I’m very glad to be able to “catch-up” with your bursts on your blag. I think that the huge bright overhead light in that “gloomy” kitchen blasts away everything gloomy in it and maybe it’s the angle that the photos were taken or the retouching up, but there really wasn’t much “gloomy” to me except the colonial blue cabinetry, which is comforting and classic, to me, not “gloomy.” A truly gloomy kitchen would have to have unglazed slate flooring, black granite countertops, and charcoal gray cabinetry with brushed stainless appliances, and faux brick backsplash with no windows, and only recessed lighting, with spots over the center island and under-cabinet spots, too. If charcoal gray cannot be done, cherry cabinets are gloomy to me, too. I love colonial blue in the kitchen. I am feeling like having quinoa and this salad looks perfect! Thank you again and am looking forward to the other links as well.

Hi!!! So happy to read your comment and see you’re still following this little blog 🙂 I agree, the kitchen isn’t gloomy, but I do think its “moody”. Let me know if you try the quinoa salad — I top mine off with a few slices of avocado and its even better! So good to hear from you & thanks for reading! xx
